Bridge-Linguatec offers a variety of internationally recognized
exams to measure your progress in English. These include BULATS
Business Language Testing Service developed by UCLES
(The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate),
and the TOEIC and TOEFL exams produced by ETS (Educational Testing
Service).
The following guidelines are based on the Association of Language
Testers of Europe (ALTE) framework, in conjunction with UCLES.
They will help you to establish proficiency goals in English
and to measure the effectiveness and success of your language
training at Bridge-Linguatec
We guarantee results! Upon enrollment, our Academic Advisors
can provide you with more information regarding our guaranteed
programs, including our TOEFL Guarantee.

As a first step, it is important to identify your current level
in English and the level you would like to obtain. The difference
between the two is your "Training Gap". The number
of hours of instruction needed to advance from one level to
another depends, in large part, on the type of course you select,
your ability to learn a new language, knowledge of other languages,
etc.
Immersion courses and study programs in the United States are
more intensive in nature and therefore provide faster results.
Private instruction allows for quicker learning because it provides
more opportunities to speak English in class, and to work at
your own individual pace. At the same time, curriculum can be
tailored to your individual needs.
The following table indicates the time needed to reach each
proficiency level depending upon the type of course taken. It
is cumulative and shows the total number of hours necessary
to reach each level from the most basic level (0).
To calculate your Training Gap, subtract the total number of
hours indicated below your current proficiency level from those
of your target level. |

The table below will help you determine your current level of
English based upon your test results.
