classes helped me a lot. We could understand the technique
necessary for the test, like how to write an essay, for
example. In the TOEFL classes we learned not only the
meaning of the words, but also the technique of how to
answer the questions. |

Descubrí a Bridge-Linguatec
en Internet y lo elegí porque trabajaba con grupos
pequeños y por su estilo basado en conversación.
Los grupos pequeños realmente hacen las clases
dinámicas: todos tienen oportunidad de hablar y
se logran buenas conversaciones. En clases más
grandes, el profesor no puede corregir a todos y escuchar
las preguntas que hace cada uno. En Bridge-Linguatec mis
profesores nos corregían todo el tiempo. Cuando
nos corrigen inmediatamente aprendemos más. |

En
Bridge School recuerdo más a los profesores destacados,
que me motivaron a trabajar duro en Inglés. El
variado programa me ayudó a mejorar mi gramática,
el hablar y entender las películas y libros norteamericanos.
De este modo, ahora es más fácil para mí
la comunicación con la gente y expresar mis pensamientos
en inglés. Además, Denver, donde se ubica
la escuela, es una ciudad maravillosa y muy interesante.
Cada uno puede encontrar algo que a él o ella le
guste, tales como los parques de la ciudad, museos, pubs
y hermosos lugares para realizar caminatas en el verano
y esquiar en el invierno.

Everyday at Bridge-Linguatec
is cool because the teachers are young, and they're the
best teachers I've had. They think like I do and I can
relate to them. Every Wednesday we played soccer with
the Director and other students. Soccer is not a popular
sport for Americans, but I found people to play with at
Bridge-Linguatec. |

Esta es mi primera experiencia tomado clases en los E.U.
Me gustan los profesores porque no importando cuál
de ellos esté en mi clase todos se aseguran de
que entendamos y no se van hasta que quede todo claro.
Algunas veces siento vergüenza al decir que no entiendo
algo, pero los profesores leen mi rostro y se aseguran
de que comprenda. También, los cursos pequeños
son mejores porque los profesores tienen más tiempo
para cada estudiante. Con una clase numerosa de 30 personas,
por ejemplo, no pondrán atención todos los
estudiantes. En los cursos pequeños en Bridge-Linguatec
cada estudiante debe participar y los profesores tienen
más tiempo para cada estudiante.

Studying at Bridge-Linguatec
I was immersed in a conversational English atmosphere
with remarkable teachers who care about their students'
learning and make them feel familiar in doing so. The
small class size is an excellent opportunity to interact
with many different cultures while attending courses.
Personally, I found the Business English courses at Bridge
to be my favorite because of the opportunity to play different
management roles, listen to business dialogues, and practice
negotiation skills in English. |

Bridge-Linguatec
helps with my listening, comprehension, and vocabulary.
I like it here. Since I have been studying at Bridge-Linguatec
I understand more business words. The teachers at Bridge-Linguatec
are nice, friendly and polite - I like them because they're
patient and they explain very well. I am taking private
classes because they are more effective than group classes;
I can
learn more. I can ask as many questions as I want, and
the teachers can explain it to me.

Me gustan los profesores
porque me motivan a aprender nuevas palabras y son muy
amistosos. Otra cosa positiva de Bridge-Linguatec es que
en el grupo hay pocas personas, así que tenemos
más oportunidades de hablar con el profesor y así
mejorar nuestra conversación. También es
interesante que en la clase hayan estudiantes de diferentes
nacionalidades, de esta forma podemos comparar las distintas
costumbres y estilos de vida. En mi clase han estado estudiantes
de Japón, Corea, Chile, Perú, Argentina,
Italia, Polonia e Indonesia. Decidí tomar las clases
de TOEFL porque es más fácil obtener un
buen trabajo en la República Checa si se tiene
el TOEFL y si estudias por tu cuenta en la casa no se
puede estudiar toda la gramática que necesitas. |

en clase es importante, pero no es la principal ventaja
de Bridge. La principal ventaja es que los profesores,
el personal y los estudiantes hacen que Bridge sea una
gran familia. Los profesores no sólo están
aquí para hacer su trabajo sino que también
están realmente interesados en las vidas y familias
de los estudiantes.

Lo que más me
gustó de estudiar en Bridge-Linguatec fue que conocí
gente de todas las partes del mundo tales como España,
Italia, México, Rusia... Además, los profesores
son muy simpáticos, pacientes y fáciles
de entender. Especialmente me gustó la clase de
Kevin porque él es muy simpático y tiene
una buena personalidad: es divertido y alegre. También,
me gustó que los cursos fueran pequeños.
El tener sólo 6 ó 8 personas en la clase
era muy bueno porque los profesores se podían comunicar
con cada uno de nosotros. Si yo no entendía algo,
siempre me lo explicaban. |

If
you want to study English, Bridge-Linguatec in Denver
is a good place because the teachers and students are
really good. It's a good place to meet people from different
countries, and also to learn about the American culture.
Denver is a beautiful and clean city with kind people
and good weather. This time of year it's usually sunny,
but not too hot, and it doesn't rain very much.

best thing about Bridge school is the teachers, because
they have a lot of patience. I like them very much. They
take time for each student when we have questions or problems.
I also enjoyed meeting students from many different countries.

I love that the methodology
at Bridge focuses on communication. Although I knew a
lot of grammar, I couldn't communicate well before coming
here. With the rotation of teachers you never get used
to just one teacher. You have the opportunity to develop
skills by learning from different people with different
accents and teaching styles. Also, the TOEFL preparation
classes helped me very much to prepare for the TOEFL test.
I only took the classes for 1 ½ months and I got
a 577!
My beginning score on the University of Michigan Placement
Test was a 56%. After more than 3 months of English classes,
I graduated with a 95%!
I want to say thank you to everyone. I felt like the school
really cared about me as a person.

Cuando llegué
aquí pensé que tendría problemas
al hablar con gente de distintos países y que no
podría entenderle a mi madre huésped. Necesitaba
aprender inglés porque no tengo otra forma de hablar
con las personas de otros países cuando no conozco
su idioma y ellos no saben el mío. Aprendí
inglés en forma más fácil en Bridge
porque hablaba todo el tiempo. No podía aprender
inglés en Colombia porque cuando me iba del colegio
todos hablaban español y olvidaba lo que había
aprendido en el colegio. En Denver, en cambio, todas las
personas hablan inglés conmigo. Aprendo algo en
el colegio y lo practico con mis compañeros, profesores,
amigos, y con mi familia huésped. Ellos siempre
me ayudan a aprender más y más cada día.

Me
gusta el método basado en la conversación
que hay en Bridge-
Linguatec porque se puede mejorar la comprensión
auditiva,
vocabulario y pronunciación. Los profesores también
son muy abiertos y serviciales. Elegí Bridge por
los pocos alumnos que tiene cada clase.
Siento que hago una excelente inversión aquí.
Además, realmente me gusta Denver por sus instalaciones
culturales tales como museos y parques. Los alrededores
tienen Parques Nacionales, y las montañas tienen
esquí en el invierno y caminatas en el verano,
todo al alcance - alrededor de una hora desde Denver en
auto. Vivo en un vecindario agradable y pienso que es
una ciudad tranquila.
